Solo 1.5


Solo 1.5 was Cass’s 2011 Strut Seed Residency project, a solo work for himself using projected animation. Cass held a showing of the finished development at the Ludwig Studio on the 11th of June and will be performing Solo 1.5 at the Premio Roma Danza International Choreography Competition. The Red Waltz

The Red Waltz was Ludwig’s first DCA funded project undertaken with Rhiannon Spratling, Timothy O’Donnell, Emma Sandall and Cass Mortimer Eipper. Humphrey Maxwell Bower worked on the project as dramaturg with initial story input and Reyes De Lara came on board to help with the final rehearsals. The Red Waltz was presented to invited audiences at the Ludwig Studio in January 2011. TRW will be undergoing further development in the future.Click here for a glimpse of the work…

La Jeune fille et la mort

“La Jeune fille et la mort” is a collaboration between Sthan KABAR-LOUET and Emma SANDALL and was produced by KABAR-LOUET’s association Synergy Dance Events. The work premiered in November 2010 at the Centre Culturel du Mont-Dore, New Caledonia. Read more…

Le Chat Noir

“Le Chat Noir” is the title for a new work by Cass Mortimer Eipper, commissioned early in 2010 for LINK Dance Company. Cass worked with the twelve Link dancers during August for presentation of the work in the October season called “Over and Out”. An excerpt of the work was presented at AICD’s Dance Creation on the 20th and 21st of August in Melbourne with Link dancers Talitha Maslin, Caitlin MacKenzie, Abby Johnson, Jayde MacDonough and Rachel Perica. A Room Of My Own

Emma was fortunate to have been one of Strut Dance’s 2010 Seed Residency recipients. Inspired by the ideas in Virginia Woolf’s essay “A Room Of One’s Own”, coupled with a desire to develop her unique voice and creativity, Emma worked with Joanna Pollitt and the process she has developed called “response work”.
