Well, what a raunchy start to the week for Ludwig!!
Later this month Perth audiences will be blown away by the smash hit production ’The Graduate’ . This version is being directed by Peter Lawrence. Starring the vibrant and still so sexy Jerry Hall as Mrs Robinson I promise this show is a must see for all who can….. and I know this as a fact because earlier this week I went into the rehearsal room to help out with the choreography of the strip scene and boy was it fun! By the end of the morning I was so jealous of the actress getting to do the scene! I was really into it (maybe too much) and was wondering if the story would still work with a male stripper instead? Although I did get close to asking if they needed a second cast I thought maybe the audience members wouldn’t be as into my stripper moves as I was?
Anyway, while there I got to see the full scene played out a number of times and each and every time I was totally captivated by the wonderful cast and their performances, especially considering that they still have several weeks until opening night! It was particularly interesting to see the process of staging a scene and how the actors and director went about building it up to make sure that, not only was each and every line spoken with the correct intention, but also that it had a rhythm to it, like music, that ensures the audience member’s attention is kept for the duration!
